Important Usage Notes¶
하다 Verbs¶
Many Korean verbs are formed by adding 하다 to a noun: - 공부 (study) + 하다 = 공부하다 (to study) - 운동 (exercise) + 하다 = 운동하다 (to exercise) - 요리 (cooking) + 하다 = 요리하다 (to cook)
Irregular Verbs¶
Some common verbs are irregular: - 듣다 (to listen) → 들어요 - 묻다 (to ask) → 물어요 - 걷다 (to walk) → 걸어요 - 눕다 (to lie down) → 누워요
Object Particles¶
Most verbs take objects with particles: - 을/를: Object particle - 밥을 먹어요 (eat rice) - 영화를 봐요 (watch a movie)
